Troy Ladd 1964 – 2012


Troy R. Ladd, 48, of Waterville, died Tuesday, June 5, at Eastern Maine Medical Center of natural causes. He was born Feb. 19, 1964, in Farmington, a son of Warren and Shirley (Tibbetts) Ladd and was a 1983 graduate of Mt. Blue High School. Prior to becoming disabled, he owned Ladd Boiler Removal of Jay. He is survived by his folks of New Sharon; a daughter, Alyssa Ladd of Jay; sister, Deborah Ladd of Farmington; a nephew; and nieces. He was predeceased by a brother, Allan Ladd on Jan. 6, 2006.
Family and friends are invited to call from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, June 8, at Wiles Remembrance Center, 137 Farmington Falls Road, U.S. Route 2 and Route 27, Farmington. Public graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. at East Mercer Cemetery, with the Rev. John Tolman officiating. His motorcycle friends are welcome to join the funeral cortege that will leave the center promptly at 2 p.m. Remembrance gifts may be given to his family c/o Wiles Remembrance Center, 137 Farmington Falls Road, Farmington, ME 04938. Team Maine sends its heartfelt condolences to Troy’s family. He was doing good things with armwrestling promotion in Maine over the last few years, organizing and reffing several tournaments a year. An all-around great guy…he will be missed. I personally met Troy way back in March 1998 at my first ever armwrestling tournament in Farmington, where he was reffing. – Kurt Howgate
